The images coming from Pakistan are devastating; the deadly flood took a heavy toll of lives and destroyed homes, farms, infrastructure. It left more than 1000 people dead and affected about 15% of the population. It caused at least $10bn of damage according to the Pakistan’s planning minister. (BBC)
Muslim Imams and scholars have urged Muslims to hasten to help their brothers and sisters in Pakistan and to fulfill their Islamic duty of showing solidarity in this disaster.
