As world Muslim prepare for the holy month of Ramadan, a new app allowing millions of Muslims to easily navigate the two holy mosques in Makkah and Madinah has been released.
The 3D application, V Makkah, is developed by Se-ma-phore Studio. It allows users to take an interactive tour inside the Grand Mosque in Makkah and the Prophet’s Mosque in Madinah, Iqna reported.
They can also virtually visit nearby locations such as Mount Arafat, Jamaraat Bridge, Muzdalifah area and exhibitions held in the holy cities.
The app is available in seven languages: Arabic, English, Turkish, Persian, Urdu, Malay and Indonesian.

There are other previous breakthroughs for Muslims in this field.
An app was released in August 2016, Manasik VR, to provide a first impression of Makkah for newcomers.
A similar VR app, launched in 2014, is Makkah 3D which was initially developed by Brainseed Factory and has now moved to Bigitec, a Germany-based company.
Another company from Tatarstan hopes to tap the market is Miradj360 VR.
