Sitting in a small room inside a Gaza mosque, Palestinian Hisham Barzeq started the task after he sent few copies for repairs and faced significant costs, IQNA reported.

“That’s why I looked for a way to fix them myself and I started doing this to earn God’s reward,” he told Shehab News.

Now, he spends three hours daily to restore old copies of the holy book.

“I have a small room inside the mosque for fixing the Quran. It is in good shape and it has electricity and shelves that make it easy for me,” he said.

Using glue and cardboard, Barzeq said the tools were provided by one of the benevolent members of the mosque community.

The Qur’an is a revelation from God, the Creator of the worlds, so He is the original author.

There is only one Qur’an which is in Arabic and many translations of the Qur’an in several languages.

Memorizing the Holy Qur’an is one of the most important ways to preserve Allah’s message.

The others are to publish and distribute the book, or the text on the Internet and to recite the parts that one knows to other people.
