Hundreds of Philadelphia cops were hosted by Muslim American Society leaders on Sunday, September 25, for a special breakfast to share experiences and break the ice.
The gathering comes amidst recent controversies surrounding American Muslims and police officers alike after recent attacks and shootings, NBC 10 reported on Sunday.
Sharing their experiences, the meeting allowed both groups to better understand the other and end misconceptions.
Mosque leaders said they feel it’s important to continually reinforce to the broader community that they are good people doing good things in Philadelphia.
