BALTIMORE – As thousands of Muslims gathered for the 42nd annual Islamic Circle of North America (ICNA) Convention, one of the largest and most diverse Islamic conventions in North America, volunteers worked to celebrate their religion and do good.
During the convention, Muslim volunteers handed out hundreds of ‘mercy bags’ to needy seniors and homeless in downtown Baltimore.
The “Mercy Bags for Baltimore” service project came to Baltimore with the 42nd annual Islamic Circle of North America conference, which ran from April 15-17.
ICNA is one of the largest, non-profit, grassroots Muslim organizations in North America with many projects, programs, and activities designed to help in reforming society at large.
Since 1968, ICNA has worked to build relations between communities by devoting itself to education, outreach, social services and relief efforts.
