Biaggio Ali Walsh, grandson of legendary boxer Muhammad Ali, has dedicated his knockout of Joel Lopez on Friday at the 2023 PFL World Championship to the people in Palestine and the children killed in the Israeli war on Gaza.
Ali Walsh, 25, said he fought and won in honor of the victims in Palestine, which drew a loud cheer from the crowd, Marca reported.
“God is the greatest. I wouldn’t be here without be without God, and also I fought for my brothers and sisters who are suffering every single day in Palestine,” he said.
“I fought for all the innocent children that have been taken from their parents and all the parents that have been taken from their children.
“God bless all those who are suffering and depressed, and remember guys, the truth will always prevail.”
After a 1-1 amateur start, Ali turned to six straight wins by KO and remains undefeated since joining the Professional Fighters League (PFL).
His latest victory could hasten his journey to becoming fully professional and fulfilling his dreams.
