The annual ISNA convention, one of North America’s largest Muslim gatherings, kicks off today, Saturday Sept 5, and it’s all virtual due to COVID-19 pandemic
This year’s convention’s theme is, “The Struggle for Social and Racial Justice.”
ISNA announced that US presidential candidate Joe Biden would send a message to American Muslims during the 2-day event.

“We are excited to announce that the Democratic Presidential Nominee, Joe Biden, will have a message for ISNA and American Muslims at the 57th Annual ISNA Virtual Convention!” ISNA page of Facebook wrote.
“Joe Biden is an American politician who served as the 47th Vice President of the US from 2009-2017. Before that he served as a US Senator from Delaware from 1973 to 2009. He is the Democratic presidential nominee for the 2020 Election against President Donald Trump.”
ISNA is the largest Muslim umbrella organization in North America.
ISNA’s annual convention dates back to 1963 when the predecessor to ISNA, the Muslim Students Association of the US and Canada, organized the first event.
