WASHINGTON, DC – A US Muslim umbrella group has partnered with Toyota to provide consultation for their Super Bowl commercial entitled “One Team”.
“During these times of polarization, we were glad to work with Toyota to put forward a message of friendship among people of different faiths” Dr. Zahid Bukhari, Executive Director, the ICNA Council for Social Justice (CSJ), said in a statement published on their website.
CSJ was involved in the production of the commercial including script writing, scouting for locations, talent search, filming, and editing.
This is not the first time for the umbrella Muslim group to provide consultation on similar commercials.
Last year, ICNA’s CSJ worked with Amazon on a similar concept for their commercial for the holidays.
“We hope more brands and companies will reach out to us to depict an accurate image of our faith and its teachings which, oftentimes, are misrepresented in the media,” the statement added.
The Islamic Circle of North America is a leading American Muslim organization dedicated to the betterment of society through the application of Islamic values.
Since 1968, ICNA has worked to build relations between communities by devoting itself to education, outreach, social services and relief efforts.
