More than 21,469 generous Muslims came together on Giving Tuesday to celebrate giving, crowdfunding more than $1,900,000 in a single day.
The announcement was made by LaunchGood, a global Muslim crowdfunding platform, at the end of GivingTuesday, a day when charities, businesses, and individuals came together to flex their philanthropy.
LaunchGood held a giveaway of $150K in prizes on Giving Tuesday, December 3, 2024. All live campaigns on www.launchgood.com were eligible to win prize money towards their causes.

According to the platform website, US charity Celebrate Mercy was the first winner. The campaign raised $247,908 and received $25,000 award from Launchgood platform.
The second place went to BASMA Community which raised more than $238,368 and received $15,000, while the third prize of $7,500 went to Hounslow Muslim Centre which raised $109,051.
More Winners
Another category of prizes was offered to campaigns with the biggest number of supporters. The first three winners were HCI- Support the People of Gaza w/ Yusuf Abu Hattab, Give Clean Water: Help build a Well for as little as £10, and HCI- Provide Hygiene kits for the People of Gaza with Renad.
GivingTuesday is a global generosity movement unleashing the power of people and organizations to transform their communities and the world.
Started in October of 2013, LaunchGood has grown to facilitate more than 116k campaigns in more than 154 countries. To date, £538M has been funded.
Last year, the crowdfunding platform encouraged more than $1.3M in donations in a single day.
