AL-QUDS – “Al-Aqsa” is the name used to describe the whole area surrounded by the wall at the south-eastern end of the city of Al-Quds (occupied Jerusalem).
The place encompasses more than 200 buildings, domes, schools, wells, etc. The sacred mosque is not limited to the mosque with the golden dome, the Dome of the Rock, nor the mosque with the lead dome, Al Masjid Al Qibli.
Both of them are part of the walled Al-Aqsa mosque which encompasses other mosques as well.
