A group of Muslim women in Dublin will host a multicultural event next month to foster integration between Muslim community and the wider Irish society.
The Muslim Sisters of Eire will hold the family fun day on Thursday, August 4 in Dublin’s Phoenix Park.
“It’s a way for people to come together for a cup of tea and a chat. It’s a good way to break down barriers between communities. This year, the focus is on the kids,” the group’s founder Lorraine O’Connor told Dublin Live.

“We want parents and children from all backgrounds to come along and mix. It will be great to have loads of kids along. They don’t see race, color or religion.”
The family fun day will include a variety of activities including face painting, clowns, children’s entertainment, garden games, henna tattoos, community football, food, artisan stalls and more.
