Reacting to the wave of calls for help from families struggling with the crisis plaguing the cost of living, a leading Islamic charity in the UK has been distributing food and essential items as part of the `Eid-al-Adha blessings.
Islamic Relief UK announced plans last week to distribute 3,400 food parcels through 19 of its partners.
“This will be the charity’s biggest ever Qurbani food distribution and it will also help provide 2,300 cooked meals through the Felix Project in London and a further 12,000 meals with FareShare, 8,000kg of meat and over 3,000 Eid gifts for children,” Islamic Relief wrote in a statement.
