A father of two tragically died while reading the Qur’an, just a week after arriving in Birmingham.

Hassan Khebbeiz, who lost his parents at a young age, was working as a laborer when he fled the conflict in Syria, seeking a better life in the UK.

He arrived earlier this month and was staying in temporary accommodation off Hagley Road with his wife and two children. The 59-year-old reportedly passed away suddenly last week while reading the Quran, Birmingham Mail reported.
