BIRMINGHAM – A Muslim outreach community in Birmingham kicked off a voluntary event on Sunday, July 31, to clear their city streets, showing a positive image of Muslims in the UK.
“To be a good person it does not depend on your religion, status, race, colour, political views or culture. It depends on how you treat others,” Abrahamic Foundation Community Outreach wrote on its Facebook today.
The post included several photos showing Muslim men and veiled women collecting trash from the streets.
The photos included a caption reading: “AF Community Outreach team in action serving the community.”
“Be apart of something positive in your neighborhood!” it added.
