Arsenal Plans Mosque Outside Emirates Stadium

LONDON – Several unconfirmed reports that Arsenal is planning to build a new mosque outside its Emirates Stadium went viral on social media on Friday, August 12, with many welcoming the move for respecting gunners’ fans and Muslim players.

The news came to public after a report was published on ArsenalViral.com.

According to the website, the mosque approval followed a request from Arsenal Muslims players that they wanted club to build a Mosque outside near Emirates Stadium.

Some reports said that the Arsenal is planning to build the mosque inside the club.

The mosque could be outside the Emirates or maybe at the Arsenal training center, London Colney.

At the moment, there is no agreement when Arsenal will build this mosque.

Other Facebook pages said that the mosque was requested by Muslim players, as well as Valencia’s highly rated German Shkodran Mustafi whom the Arsenal wants to sign him for the club.

According to Sun Gossip twitter account, “Shkodran Mustafi told Arsenal to ensure “on site mosque facility” at Emirates as part of personal terms.”

“Arsenal have many Muslim players like Ozil, Xhaka, El-Neny. Maybe Mahrez as well. I’m excited,” Shkodran Mustafi was quoted as saying.

Though the news of the mosque were viral on social media, the website could not verify the report from other source.

If the news came true, Arsenal will be the first British club to build a mosque outside its stadium.

Several British clubs, including Arsenal and New Castle United, specified a prayer room for Muslim players.

In 2013, Bayern Munich announced plans to build a mosque in the Allianz Arena stadium to serve its Muslim players and fans.

Muslims pray five times a day, with each prayer made of a series of postures and movements, each set of which is called a rak‘ah.

The five prayer times are divided all through the day which starts with Fajr prayer at dawn.
