Once you repent, there is no punishment. We learn this from when Adam sinned. After repenting, Allah sent him down to the Earth. Was this a punishment? No, because it is clear (opinions of scholars) that this would have happened anyway. Just because you have been forgiven by Allah (SWT), you will still have to face consequences. This is not necessarily a punishment, it is just a way for us to learn from the consequences. They are a mean of expiation.
