Do you often feel you have evil thoughts in your hearts and they keep popping up? Did you know these are a sign of iman?

Some Companions approached Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) and told him that they were having some evil thoughts inside of them. Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) asked them, what are these evil thoughts? They told him that they were words of the unbelievers!

Prophet Muhammad (PBUH) told them that these thoughts are a sign of iman! It is not the thoughts themselves that are a sign of iman. The fact that these thoughts are inside of you and you remain silent about you, this is the sign of iman!

If you have this kind of waswasa, relax! As long as you don’t speak it out and preach it then you are upon goodness! This is a sign of faith.

Shaytan comes to the strong believer and he puts this waswasa in the believers thoughts. It is important that we don’t act on them.
