Don’t Neglect the Quran!

It is so important that we never neglect the Quran!

We have sent down to you the Book as clarification for all things and as guidance and mercy and good tidings for the Muslims.” (Surah An-Nahl, Verse-89.)

The power of the Book of Allah has touched so many, many souls since it was revealed. So many people came to Islam just because of one verse that struck their buried emotions.

Re-reading it and doing your best to reflect upon its verses is worth every minutes of your time.

Yusha Evans makes a passionate speech about the need to be attentive when listening to the Qur’an and the necessity to understand Who is speaking to us through the Qur’an.

We are able to listen respectfully and scrupulously to our parents or managers. Shouldn’t we be even more focused when it comes to the Qur’an because it is the words of “He who fashioned us in the wombs of our mothers”?

We sometimes take it lightly or we get lazy, tired from listening to it when the Imam is quoting the Qur’an or reciting it.

Yusha Evans reminds us again that Qur’an is a gift to believers:  “[…]you understand how blessed you are to have that […] and understand that your Creator still speaks to you.

And instead of reading the Qur’an while making efforts to find the meaning of its verses, many of us are guilty of simply neglecting it.

Or we store it somewhere like you would do with any other kind of book. But the Qur’an isn’t just a book; it is the right guidance for a Muslim.

The Qur’an is reminder of how to set up our compass in everyday life. It is meant to refresh our hearts in times of doubt or pain.

It is a mercy to us so take it as it is: a gift for yourself and the ones you love.
