We learn from the Seerah that hate blinds people. They separated Umm Salamah from her own son when she wanted to perform Hijrah. She was kept locked up from her own child for many months on end. 

The same irrational hatred and xenophobia is all over the world today including the USA. ICE have separated thousands of children from their parents and kept in cages in the USA. Many have not been reunited with their parents today. 

As Muslims we should not stand by and accept this is happening. Prophet Muhammad (SAW) said that anyone who separates a mother from her child will be separated from their loved ones on Judgement Day.
