Allah chose these two names for Himself Ar-Rahman Ar-Rahim. These are the names we call on when we begin a task. We need to remember that Allah never stops loving and caring for us. Allah will give you his love and his care on His terms, not on our terms.
The scholar uses the story of Yusuf (as) as an example. Yusuf (as) was thrown out as a young boy. He got taken away from his family and thrown into jail along with many other problems. When he came out of jail he interpreted a dream that the country is going to have a water problem. They need to save up their food for the next seven years. If Yusuf was never put in jail or met the king then he would have never have this dream interpreted. Therefore he saved thousands of children from going hungry.
A little bit of his suffering prevented so many others from suffering too. That was Allahs plan subhanAllah.
