All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
Thank you for your good question.
In fact, the position of women in Islam is unique and matchless. Islam appreciates and highly estimates women whether they are daughters, sisters, wives, or mothers. Both women and men are equal in Islam. So, Islamic law never discriminates between people, men and women. Women enjoy as equal rights as men. Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said in a hadith, “Women are men’s counterparts” (Abu Dawud, Sunan, hadith No. 236)
Also, the Qur’an unequivocally emphasizes that men and women are equal: “O mankind! We have created you from a male and a female, and made you into nations and tribes that you may know one another. Verily, the most honorable of you with Allah is that (believer) who has At-Taqwa. Verily, Allah is All-Knowing, All-Aware.” (Al-Hujurat 49:13)
Among the manifestations of Islam’s appreciation of women is whenever the Qur’an asks children to be kind and dutiful to their parents, it emphasizes the importance of being so dutiful towards mothers in particular. Allah says, “And We have enjoined on man to be dutiful and kind to his parents. His mother bears him with hardship and she brings him forth with hardship, and the bearing of him, and the weaning of him is thirty (30) months…” (Al-Ahqaf 46:15)
Moreover, a man came to Prophet Muhammad (peace and blessings of Allah be upon him) and said, ‘O Messenger of Allah, who among the people is most deserving of my good companionship?’ He said, ‘Your mother.’ The man asked, ‘Then who?’ He said, ‘Your mother.’ He asked, then who?’ He said, ‘Your mother.’ He asked, ‘Then who?’ He said, ‘Your father.’” (Al-Bukhari and Muslim)
Islam highly recommends kindness to daughters. Prophet Muhammad said, “Whoever has a daughter.. and doesn’t abuse her and doesn’t prefer his sons over her, Allah will admit him to paradise.” (Abu Dawud)

Given the above, it is absurd for anyone to claim that Islam underestimates women or considers them inferior to men. On the contrary, Islam highly estimates women and their various contributions.
May Allah accept your and our good deeds.
Allah Almighty knows best.
