AboutIslam is seeking a passionate and knowledgeable Islamic Content Specialist & App Content Creator to join our team. You will play a key role in developing engaging and informative content for our new app, specifically tailored towards the needs of new Muslims, particularly youth in North America and Western countries.
What You’ll Do:
- Research, select, and adapt relevant content from AboutIslam.net for the app, ensuring it adheres to best practices for mobile content consumption.
- Summarize, repurpose, and edit existing content to fit the app’s format and audience.
- Create original, engaging short articles on assigned topics relevant to new Muslims.
- Participate in brainstorming sessions and contribute ideas for app development and content strategy.
- Stay up-to-date on current trends and needs of new Muslims, especially youth in North America and Western countries.
- Utilize AI writing tools to assist with content creation and optimization.
- Ensure content accuracy, clarity, and visual appeal.
- Meet deadlines and work efficiently under pressure.
You’re a Perfect Fit If You Have:
- Bachelor’s degree in Islamic Studies, Religious Studies, or a related field (preferred)
- Extensive knowledge of Islam and its core principles
- Strong understanding of the challenges and experiences of new Muslims, especially youth in North America and Western countries
- Excellent writing and editing skills, with the ability to adapt content for various audiences and formats
- Experience with content creation and content management systems (CMS)
- Familiarity and comfort using AI writing tools
- Excellent research and analytical skills
- Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to meet deadlines and work effectively under pressure
- Passion for educating and engaging new Muslims
