Ramadan Tent Project (RTP) is an international social enterprise founded in London, UK in 2011. Their mission is to contribute towards positive change through capacity building, social action, community cohesion and interfaith dialogue.
RTP’s most notable and pioneering project to date is Open Iftar, the world’s first community-led global interfaith public iftar event, focused on feeding the homeless and inviting people of all faiths, races, beliefs and ages to share a meal during the month of Ramadan. Open Iftar has become a monumental bridge for communities highlighting our commonalities and instilling faith in humanity.
#OpenIftar is from 8pm, every night of Ramadan at Malet Street Gardens in London.
#OpenIftar campaign was conceived as a means of building bridges, championing interconnection and solidarity within our communities, whilst being of service to our community. It is our raison d’etre, and shall remain so.
In service of this vision, London Open Iftar’s doors will remain open to one and all, tonight, and every night of Ramadan hereafter, inshAllah.
