On November 27th, American film maker Ali Baluch announced his new short film on his facebook page saying:
“Over the past 6 months, i was able to set some time aside to write and direct my first ‘big’ short film. it was a looonngg and painful process (had to invest in a night guard cause i began grinding my teeth at night due to stress) but, all praise due to god, it’s finally done and i had such an incredible team of people who helped me along the way.
I spent the first 2 months doing hard research, meeting with different organizations, speaking with ‘reformed’ white supremacists, reading published studies on gangs, violence, mental health etc…i really wanted to do this right.
Anyway, a lot of my friends and family have been extremely supportive from day 1 when i wanted to get into film, and continued their support when i went through film school, and have been even more supportive these last few years.
I thank you, and here it is. my film. ‘disregard’.”
The film addresses sensitive issues that affect American youth like marginalization, identity problems, extremism and more.
