CAIRO (AA) – In an effort to provide a helping hand to the needy, the Turkish Red Crescent is distributing food packages to poor families during the holy fasting month of Ramadan.
The charity’s president, Kerem Kınık, said that they would distribute food aid worth TL 2.5 million ($860,000) during the fasting month.
The Turkish Red Crescent plans to deliver 100,000 food packages to 500,000 people, he said.
