Beauty products & cosmetics company CoverGilrl announced Nura Afia, a Muslim beauty blogger and makeup artist as its newest ambassador.
Afia who has just been named one of the ambassadors for CoverGirl’s new So Lashy! mascara campaign expressed her excitement saying that she never thought she would see Muslim women represented on such a large scale.
The 23-year-old Muslim beauty blogger who has earned more than 210,000 subscribers at her youtube channel always appears wearing hijab.
Now Afia, her hijab, and her serious makeup skills will appear in commercials and on a giant billboard in Times Square in New York City.
