Can a woman during menses read Islamic books other than Quran?

Answering your question, Sheikh Mustafa Umar, President of California Islamic University, states:
Yes, a woman may read any other Islamic books during her menstrual cycle, since they are not Quran. Even if there are some verses of the Quran inside those books, they are still not considered to be the Quran and therefore she may read them.
