As-Salamu alaykum. I am working in Riyadh. I will perform my first `Umrah next week. Should I buy a new ihram or can I use my friend's ihram?

Answering your question, Sheikh Ahmad Kutty, a senior lecturer and an Islamic scholar at the Islamic Institute of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, states:
There is no need for you to buy a new ihram (attire). You are allowed to use your friend’s ihram as long as it is clean. You may as well use the money for greater priorities.
