Do I actually have to read the Quran out loud in order to get rewarded? Or can I recite the Quran in my mind?
Answer
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
In this fatwa:
Reciting the Quran is an act of worship rewarded generously. So, reciting the Quran in mind does not count as reciting the Quran. You have to pronounce the Quran with the mouth and tongue.
