Technology has advanced over the past decade greatly. We now have the luxury of being able to read the Quran from our phones, tablets, computers etc. However, when it comes to the question about memorizing the Quran, is using an app OK?

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
In this fatwa:
1- It is OK to memorize the Quran using an app on your phone, tablet, or computer.
2- However, it is highly recommended to have a physical copy of the Quran (mushaf) to always go back to.
