Answer
In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful.
All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.
In this fatwa:
The incarnation of God in Jesus is incompatible with the Quran as well as with what Jesus himself taught about himself.
In responding to your question, Sheikh Ahmad Kutty, a senior lecturer and an Islamic scholar at the Islamic Institute of Toronto, Ontario, Canada, states:
What they have stated is not the Islamic belief. Islam does not teach the dogma of incarnation; God and man are not identical. God is the Absolute, Incomparable. The Islamic doctrine of divine Oneness is spelled out clearly in this Surah:
{Say: He is God, the One, the Ultimate Source and Refuge of all beings. Not begetting or begotten. There is nothing comparable unto Him.} (Al-Ikhlas 112:1-4)
Therefore, the interpretation mentioned above contradicts the explicit tenets of Islam.
You may also do well to know that Jesus (peace be upon him) is innocent of such Christian doctrines. He never taught that he was anything other than a servant of God called upon to preach the worship of One and only God. The historical studies now confirm this Quranic teaching about Jesus (PBUH).
However, seeing Jesus (PBUH) in a dream is a good sign. The same is true of seeing other prophets or messengers of God, including Abraham, Moses, and Muhammad (peace be upon them all).
Therefore, if you have such visions, you should thank Allah.
