Saying SubhanAllah wa Bihamdihi brings immense spiritual benefits, including forgiveness of sins, increased rewards, and light on the Day of Judgment. It is a powerful dhikr that strengthens faith and draws a believer closer to Allah.โ
Answering your question, we would like to state the following:
Meaning of SubhanAllah wa Bihamdihi
SubhanAllah means declaring Allah to be above every bad thing. Wa Bihamdihi means I glorify Allah as I am praising Him or I glorify Allah and I praise Him.
Saying SubhanAllah wa Bihamdihi keeps the Muslimโs heart and tongue engaged in the remembrance of Allah, bringing blessings and inner peace.
The Benefits of SubhanAllah wa Bihamdihi
- This Dhikr is one of the phrases most beloved to Allah, and reciting it frequently accumulates great rewards in the Hereafter.
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said: โ(The following are) two words (sentences or utterances) that are very easy for the tongue to say, and very heavy in the balance (of reward), and most beloved to the Gracious Almighty (And they are): Subhan Allahi wa bi-hamdihi; Subhan Allahi-l-`Azhim,โ (Al-Bukhari)
- By reciting SubhanAllah, a Muslim gets 1000 Hasanah a day and 1000 vices are blotted out.
Mus`ab ibn Sa`d reported that his father told him that he had been in the company of Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) that he said:
Is one amongst you powerless to get one thousand virtues every day. Amongst those who had been sitting there, one asked: How one amongst us can get one thousand virtues every day? He said: Recite:โ SubhanAllahโ one hundred times for (by reciting them) one thousand virtues are recorded (to your credit) and one thousand vices are blotted out. (Muslim)
- Reciting SubhanAllah can lead to sins being wiped away.
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:, โWhoever says, โSubhanAllah wa Bihamdihi,โ one hundred times a day, will be forgiven all his sins even if they were as much as the foam of the sea. (Al-Bukhari)
- Saying SubhanAllah wa Bihamdihi brings incomparable reward in the Hereafter.
Abu Hurairah (may Allah be pleased with him) reported that Prophet Muhammad (peace be upon him) said:
He who recites in the morning and in the evening (these words):โ โSubhanAllah wa Bihamdihi โ one hundred times, he would not bring on the Day of Resurrection anything excellent than this except one who utters these words or utters more than these words. (Muslim)
