Janine Jagger
M.P.H., Ph.D., is Professor of Medicine at the University of Virginia School of Medicine. She is the founder and editor-in-chief of Advances in Exposure Prevention, a quarterly publication dedicated to preventing occupational transmission of bloodborne pathogens in the health care workplace. In March 2001, she was named "MedTech Hero" by the Advanced Medical Technology Association (AdvaMed), for her industry-wide contributions to advancing medical device safety technology. In 2002, she received the prestigious MacArthur Foundation fellowship award.
