Dr Salih Yucel is an Associate Professor at the Centre for Islamic Studies and Civilization, Charles Sturt University. He worked as an Imam at Redfern Mosque in Sydney between 1987-1992 and then as a Muslim chaplain at Harvard Medical Schools’ hospitals for seven years. Subsequently, he was lecturer and senior lecturer in Islamic Studies at Monash University.
