Answer
Salam Alaykum Dear brother,
Please find the second and final part of the answer to your question below. Find the first part at the link here.
Allah has placed you in this situation to seek Him more. Allah can easily end this entire world and everyone in it in a second because He is the:
{Originator of the heavens and the earth. When He decrees a matter, He only says to it, “Be,” and it is.} (Quran 2:117)
But Allah placed us in this world as a test. We are all being tested. Allah created us and honored us above all other creations.
He honored us with the ability to learn about Him and learn from Him. And this knowledge will be tested by going through situations where we remember and choose Allah and His path over all else.
When we do that, we become the real winners in this life and the next.
Remember:
{And We will surely test you with something of fear and hunger and a loss of wealth and lives and fruits, but give good tidings to the patient, Who, when disaster strikes them, say, “Indeed we belong to Allah, and indeed to Him we will return.” Those are the ones upon whom are blessings from their Lord and mercy. And it is those who are the [rightly] guided.} (Quran 2:155-157)
And remember:
{Say, “Never will we be struck except by what Allah has decreed for us; He is our protector.” And upon Allah let the believers rely.} (Quran 9:51)
The entire purpose of life is the sincerity of faith and belief in Allah. Remember that we say 17 times in our 5 daily prayers “It is You alone we worship, and You alone we ask for help.”
So, Allah wants us to seek His help and He will put us in situations where we really and desperately need Him.
How to get closer to Allah during this time of hardship:
- Make dua (supplication) to Allah every single day, before you step outside of your home, before you meet anything/anyone you fear or to ask for anything that you want. Connect with Allah directly and regularly through dua. It’s effortless, but very powerful. So, speak to Allah and ask Him to help and guide you and protect you and grant you the best in this life and the next.
- Say your adhkar (remembrance) daily. The morning and evening adhkar are a must. Do not let a day pass without waking up to read them, and fall asleep only after reading them. They protect you and connect you with Allah.
- Do your best to do your prayers on time.
- Try to find/be among righteous companions who will help you with your deen and remind you to be steadfast and do what’s lawful always and leave that which is unlawful, because this is powerful and connects you strongly with Allah.
- Attend doroos and halaqat (classes) to remind you of Allah and teach you your deen and strengthen your iman (faith).
- Study the Quran. There are online and offline initiatives to help with that. The Quran is the most powerful reminder for us to understand the nature of this world, our purpose and our destination.
- Study the seerah (biography of the Prophet). The more you learn from the seerah, the more you will know that everything we’re going through, the believers before us have already gone through it and worse, and Allah always helped them.
{Indeed, We will support Our messengers and those who believe during the life of this world and on the Day when the witnesses will stand –} (Quran 40:51)
{Then We will save our messengers and those who have believed. Thus, it is an obligation upon Us that We save the believers.} (Quran 10:103)
As long as you know Allah, you don’t compromise your religion, you do your best on His path, follow what is lawful and leave what is unlawful, then, you should not fear. Allah tells us:
{So, do not weaken and do not grieve, and you will be superior if you are [true] believers.} (Quran 3:139)
No one holds your life in his hand but Allah!
He is The One you should be concerned about, no one else.
{Truly those who say, ‘Our Lord is God’ and are upright, the Angels will descend upon them saying, ‘Have neither fear nor sadness, but rather rejoice in this Paradise that you had been promised. We are your allies in this lower life and in the Hereafter, where you will have your hearts’ desire, and you will have all you request, hospitably from One, Most Forgiving, Most Merciful.’ Who is more beautiful in speech than the one who invites to God and does righteous works, saying, ‘Truly I am a Muslim, submitted to God’? For good and evil are not equal: repel ugliness with what is more beautiful, and behold, the one between you and whom there was enmity is suddenly transformed into a warm friend. But no one arrives at this station except those of patience, and none is granted it except one having a great portion [of good].} (Quran 41:30–35)
I hope this helps strengthen you. Please keep in touch.
Salam.
