Sometimes in our lives, we overlook many things which we should rather be more focused on.
We do that because we do not pay attention to petty things due to the monotony of life, and we stop practicing it without even knowing how much power it contains.
Speaking about power, Allah (SWT) is the most powerful and most high.
And He likes to be called again and again by His servants.
There are many times in our lives, as a matter of fact, almost every day when we need help and assistance, but we are too shy to ask people.
We need attention and support from someone to get our things done, and also make time for us to relieve our misery.
Humans can have this capacity to a certain extent, but it’s only our maker, Allah (S.W.T) who is always there to listen, help, and respond to our every
single call.
Even if we call Him thousands of times a day, He will always be there to attend to us.
He has named Himself “Al-Mujeeb”, which means the “One who responds”.
Allah (S.W.T) explicitly stated in the Quran, saying:
And your Lord has said: pray unto me and I will hear your prayer”. (40: 60)
Allah (S.W.T) is giving His word that, He will hear you! is it not enough to believe that, He is always listening to us despite our shortcomings?.
We should all pour out our hearts solely to Him, and ask for His help anytime, anywhere, without doubting for a second of being unheard.
Whenever our beloved Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) faces any difficulty in his life, he would pray “Nafla” and make dua.
It was his sunnah that he would raise his hands immediately to seek Allah (S.W.T) for help.
“And remember your Lord by your tongue and within yourself, humbly and without fear, without loudness in words, in the morning and afternoon, and be not of those who are neglectful”.
Prophet Muhammad (S.A.W.) told us about the importance of making dua several times:
1 – “Dua is worship”.
2 – “The person who does not make dua to Allah (S.W.T), He becomes angry with him.”
3 – “Verily your lord is generous and shy, and if His servant raises his hands to Him, He becomes
shy to return them empty”.
4 – “Whosoever desires that Allah (S.W.T) answers his dua in an unfavorable and difficult conditions, he should make plentiful dua for the days of ease and comfort.” Believe it! Allah is not tired of listening to your dua.
Converse with him about everything that bothers you, and He will not just calm you, but will also fulfill your needs and solve the issue, Subhan’Allah Remember!
Muhammad (S.A.W.) said:
Let one of you ask his Lord for his needs, all of them, even for ashoestring (lace) when his breaks.”
Make it your habit to keep on asking for His help in your daily routine.
For instance, if you do not get a place to park your car, make dua, and He will find you a good space.
If you want to have a taste of food while cooking, seek His help and He will add flavor to it, Subhan’ALLAH.
Muhammad (S.A.W.) has also told us about the different times when the prayers are accepted, they are:
- Fard prayers
- Between Adhan and Qiyaam
- Tahajud (1/3 of the night)
- When it is raining
- While traveling
- While breaking fast
Allah (S.W.T)will quickly fulfill his supplication, He will store it for him in the hereafter, or He will divert an evil away from you “(by taking the calamity away).”
But there is only one dua that Allah will be guaranteed to accept, which is the dua of “Hidayah”, asked wholeheartedly by a servant in this world. Look what Allah wants from us:
When my servants ask you ‘O Muhammad (S.A.W)’ about me, I am truly near.
I respond to one’s prayer when they call upon my name. So let them respond with obedience to Me and believe in Me and they will be guided to the right path”. (2: 186)
Making dua regularly is a sign that Allah is loving to converse with you, Subhan’Allah.
