We live in a world today where education has become a great expense. Students often find difficulty in paying for their tuition fees. In this case, do student loans become permissible in Islam? What is the ruling? What must we look at?

In this fatwa:
If it is a necessity to take student loans, then yes it is permissible to take a loan. However, if it is merely a want, a desire, then it is better not to take student loans.
