Can Visibly Non-Practicing Muslims Volunteer at Mosques? (Video)

Q Should we let some members of our Muslim community, who are visibly non-practicing Muslims certain Muslims, volunteer for our mosques and Dawah organizations?

Answer

In the Name of Allah, Most Gracious, Most Merciful. 

All praise and thanks are due to Allah, and peace and blessings be upon His Messenger.


In this fatwa:

1- Islam is not only about our external image, it is also about what is on the inside and our inner soul.

2- Our Muslim community is made of various types of people and we should accommodate everyone including those visibly non-practicing Muslim.

3- We should judge the situation case by case according to the types of activity and the place of the activity.
