Space exploration is the ongoing discovery and exploration of celestial structures in outer space by means of continuously evolving and growing space technology.

The Holy Qur’an encourages human beings to be knowledgeable; “Indeed, in the creation of the heavens and the earth and the alternation of night and day are signs for those of understanding.” [Surat ‘al Imran: 3:190].

Allah also says: “Say, ‘Are those who know equal to those who do not know?'”[Surat ‘al Imran: 39:9].

Furthermore, our God Lord of All said, “We will show them Our signs in the horizons and within themselves until it becomes clear to them that it is the truth.”[Surat Fussilat: 41:53].

Astronomy predates reliable recorded history. The Egyptian, Mesopotamian, Greek, Chinese and Islamic civilizations have achieved major breakthroughs in this field.

However, it was only the development of rockets by Europeans during the 20th century that allowed physical space exploration.

Allah has created the Solar System 4.6 billion years ago. It came out from a gravitational collapse of a giant interstellar molecular cloud.

This infograph gives you an easy look at the space missions sent between the 20th century and 2020.
