Satellites
In the context of spaceflight, a satellite is an artificial object which has been intentionally placed into orbit. Such objects are sometimes called artificial satellites to distinguish them from natural satellites such as Earth's Moon.

Viewing space missions as luxurious and unnecessary waste of time, money, and effort is an uninformed point of view which is unaware that space agencies invest money in space projects which are designed to perfectly deal with major global problems and finding answers for them.

Applications of Astronomy and space sciences could be easily found in every single day of your life. Islam encouraged and still stimulates its believers to explore the space which was created by God.

“Do they not look at the sky above them, how We have built it and adorned it, and there are no rifts in it.” (Surat Qaf: 50:6).

“(God) created the heavens without any pillars that you can see…” (Surat Luqman: 31:10).

Moreover, “God is the One Who raised the heavens without any pillars that you can see, then He firmly established Himself on the throne and He subjected the sun and moon . . .” (Surat Ar-Ra`d: 13:2).
