God covers us in His mercy, but at the same time, He reminds us that our strength is from Him alone. Any good we do is for our own benefit and any sin we commit is to our own detriment. Our behavior does not benefit Him in any way.

New Muslims must exert a lot of patience when they accept Islam, because they will face many trials and tribulations, and if lacking patience, one may be tempted to leave Islam and they will lose in this life and the hereafter.

Keep in mind that you are training yourself for happiness and success. You have what it takes. Pray to Allah with hope, keeping in mind that you are strengthening your abilities, building confidence in your future, reinforcing your will, and expecting the best from your Lord.
The key to happiness is knowing and worshipping God. When one worships and remembers the Creator as He should be worshipped and remembered, happiness can be observed all around us, at any given moment and even on the darkest night...

We had to leave the Ka'bah. And it hurt. So much. But we never have to leave Allah. Unless we choose to. Unless WE choose to turn our backs on Him. But He is always there. It’s we who chose to turn away. And what happens when we do?
