World Largest Global Da`wah Day Announced

LONDON – Revisiting huge success in earlier events, teams of enthusiastic Muslims have been invited for the second global da`wah day across the six continents, planned next Saturday, August 20.

“At a time where there is huge misconceptions about Islam and Muslims, we have taken the initiative to convey the rational and compassionate message of our beautiful religion to humanity,” Hamza Tzortzis, head of Education at the Islamic Education & Research Academy (IERA), said in a statement obtained by AboutIslam.net.

“We have a huge task at hand. Delivering a campaign of this size has never been done by any faith group, let alone Muslim groups.

“On one day, in every single country of the world, Muslims will be peacefully inviting and educating wider society about the compassionate message of Islam. It is time to spread compassion all round the world.”

Under the title, “Is Life Just A Game?”, the campaign was designed to convey the message of Islam while collaborating with other organizations and fellow Muslims.

The slogan also aims at offering answers to people questions about the meaning of life? What is their greater purpose? How should they live my life? and What happens when we die.

The event is the largest to be planned in history, with iERA volunteer teams spreading in almost every single country of this world, estimated by more than 180 countries.

The ‘World Dawah Mission’ is taking place in conjunction with the Olympic games in Brazil and is a continuation of last year’s ‘Global Messenger Day’ campaign II, which took place in 55 countries.

The world’s first Global Daw`ah Day was planned in July, 2014, by the Islamic Education & Research Academy (IERA).

IERA is UK-based registered charity whose sole objective is the advancement of the Islamic faith.
