Seeking Protection from Jinn?

How to protect ourselves from satanic jinn?

Imam Suhaib Webb answers this question in two videos, starting with the following:

Our scholars mentioned eleven ways.

1- Seeking refuge from Allah (SWT) from Satan.

Allah (SWT) says:

“And if an evil suggestion comes to you from Satan, then seek refuge in Allah. Indeed, He is Hearing and Knowing.” (Qur’an, 7:200)

Never under-estimate the power of “a’ouzou bil-Allahi min al-shaitan al-rajeem

So seek security with Allah (SWT)

2- Read the last two chapters of the Qur’an.

Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of daybreak” (Qur’an, 113)

Say, “I seek refuge in the Lord of mankind” (Qur’an, 114)

3- Read Surat Al-Baqara (Qur’an, 2) in your home.

What if you can’t read it in Arabic?

That’s OK.

What if it takes you three, four, five days to finish it?

That’s OK.

What if you don’t have time to read it and you just want to play it?

That’s OK.

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said “Don’t make your homes graveyards (i.e. places of dead hearts). Indeed the home in which Surat Al-Baqara is recited, Shaitan flees from it.”

4- Read Ayat Al-Kursi, the Verse of the Throne.

Allah (SWT) in this verse put His secret name, the Greatest Name of Allah.

5- Read the last two verses of Surat Al-Baqara.

The Prophet, peace be upon him, said that these two verses are not read in a home for three consecutive nights except that Shaitan would flee that home.

6- Read any verse in the Qur’an that seeks refuge or protection from Allah (SWT).

Whoever reads these verses in the morning will be protected to the evening, and whoever reads these verses in the evening will be protected to the morning.
