And to the ‘Aad [We sent] their brother Hud. He said, “O my people, worship Allah ; you have no deity other than Him. Then will you not fear Him?” [7:65]. This is the story of Hud. Hud was sent to the people of ‘Aad and he was sent to warn the people to only worship Allah and not anyone else. Of course they didn’t take notice and so Allah sent them a terrible punishment.
