Backbiting in Islam is hated and we are prohibited from doing it. Allah referred to it as eating the flesh of your brother. That is how bad it is seen in the eyes of Allah. When you backbite someone you don’t like you are giving them your good deeds. This is a powerful reminder of why it is so bad.
