Yesterday night I saw a dream in which I was in a dark room and Hazrat Ali is calling Hazart Imam Hussain and Hazrat Imam Hassan. Hazrat Hasaan and Hazrat Hussain are also calling Hazrat Ali. The dream was so intense that I felt they all are present in my room. I was actually very scared that I couldn't move my body or open my eyes. I just heard their voices. When Hazrat Hassan and Hazrat Hussain called Hazrat Ali and he was coming towards them, the dream ended. I didn't see their faces but I could feel them. In fact I opened my eyes when the dream ended and seriously I was unable to recognize my own room. I was still feeling that I am in a room that I just saw in the dream. I was very scared. It took me few minutes to realize that I am actually present in my own room. The time was 3:50am.

This session if for fatwa questions not for the interpretation of dreams. There are other specialists in this kind of interpretation who may help you in this regard.

I just want to know about one thing I had a miscarriage 23 days ago. Now the bleeding is totally stop but the brownish thing is coming little bit so can anyone tell me can I do fast and perform prayers. Because I’m really confused what can I do? Please, help me.

If this brownish discharge has been seen right after the post carriage bleeding, then the same ruling of that bleeding applies to it and so you have to abstain from praying and fasting.

If there was a gap of time between the post miscarriage bleeding and the discharge of that brownish thing and in that period you were completely clean, then there is disagreement among scholars whether to overlook this discharge and thus a woman may start to pray and fast or to consider it a continuation of that bleeding.

Salamualikum. I'm married since last year the 6th of June to a man that is living in America. He could not come to make the nikah so the marriage was done in his absence. I accepted to get married because my mum was so interested in me getting married to him but my intention was pure. I just wanted to get married to fulfill my religion and abandon all harms. I don’t even love him but I believed when I go to live with him. I will fall in love with him but since we got married last year the 6th of June until now we haven't met yet and is stressful for me because I didn't obtain none of my objectives of marrying him. I thought of divorce several times but he refuses I'm sure of his love for me but is not the case for me and with this distance is so hard for me to bare. I want to know if the nikah at the place is valid, since we never met, is it my fault if I do something harm and if I get divorced, am I to wait for my holding period before I able to get remarried?

If the marriage contract has fulfilled its conditions and requirements and done with your consent, then this is a valid marriage in the sight of the Shari`ah. But as a wife, you have rights on your husband and he has to fulfill these rights for you. He should not leave you in such a situation. It is your right to ask for divorce and even go to the court if he refuses to divorce willingly, because you do not get your rights as a wife. The court will decide in your favor.

As you have never consummated your marriage, there is no `iddah (waiting period) due on you and you may marry the next day you get your divorce.

Meanwhile, you have to strengthen your relation with Allah in order to protect yourself against any haraam practices. Observe daily Prayers, try to observe Fasting, associate with pious female friends, go to mosques, and try to make your time busy with useful and religious activities.

May Allah help you and protect you.

As-salamu alaykum Sheikh, Nowadays people are getting crazy about Pokemon Go game and it is not unusual to see people walking in the streets while paying no attention to anybody or anything just because they are trying to capture more Pokemon creatures that appear in their phone screens. My question is about some incidents where mosques in the West are visited by non-Muslims who are entering just to hunt some Pokemon creatures. What is the wise way to deal with such people? Thanks

These non-Muslims should be approached gently and be taught that they should show respect to this place of worship. The opportunity, however, should be seized to introduce them to Islam through explaining to them the real role of mosques in Islam, what Islam means, the importance of salah (prayer) and how it connects man to His lord…etc. Islamic brochures and booklets should be ready for such opportunities.

As-salamu alaikum. Many clothes have small logos of animals, like Lacoste, Puma etc. Are these haram to wear since we have to go the mosque?

If these logos are small and in hidden places, that would be a sort of disrespect to such images, which renders it permissible to wear such clothes. If these images are big and noticeable, one should avoid wearing them.

But still if you can make any change (removing or adding) in the appearance of such images that make them not look like animals, there will be no problem in wearing them as well.

What is the faith of a child born out of wedlock?

This is a controversial issue especially if the man and the woman involved in the illicit sexual relation belong to different religions.

According to one opinion, this child is Muslim as long as anyone of them is Muslim. Another opinion says that such a child follows the religion of his mother.

Sir, I’m a doctor, a young doctor. I have passed two post graduate exams. The exam I chose gave me unpaid slots and the exam I gave for my parents give m paid slots. I’m practicing that because my parents are too poor. But I’m not feeling good internally. I’m feeling like doomed. I don’t know but I have feeling that I’m not doing good with me, with my career. I’m wasting, I’m wasted. Even I’m offering prayers and seeking help from Allah Almighty to make me understand what is good for me. But there is no response as I used to get always from Him. My parents are everything for me. But the things I want to do with my career is time requiring and risky. Maybe I don’t get pay for 4 years. Maybe I become stable. Now worried; what to do with my life?

Brother, we have to trust our Lord; He is All-Wise and All-Knowing. We are to proceed in this life following the legitimate reasons for our objectives and then leave the result for Allah SWT. We have also to balance between our goals and our responsibilities seeking Allah’s help and assistance to fulfill them.

Du’a (supplication/prayer) is one of our strong weapons in this life to achieve what we aspire for and to fulfill our responsibilities. But still the answer to our supplication refers to the Wisdom and knowledge of Allah. Sometimes the answer is delayed for some wisdom that we are not aware of.

Sometimes it is out of Allah’s mercy that a specific supplication is not fulfilled. The Messenger of Allah said, “The supplication of anyone of you is answered if he does not grow impatient and says: I supplicated but it was not answered.

Moreover, the answer may take a different form. The Messenger of Allah (peace be upon him) tells us that “There is no man who calls upon Allah with a supplication, except that he is answered. Either it shall be granted to him in the world, or reserved for him in the Hereafter, or, his sins shall be expiated for it according to the extent that he supplicated – as long as he does not supplicate for some sin, or for the severing of the ties of kinship…

So, brother, keep firm faith in Allah and pray humbly to him to make you pleased with His divine preordainment.
