US Muslims Rush to Help Victims of Hurricanes

Muslim organizations and mosques have rushed to provide help to people affected by Hurricane Irma in the United States, which has killed dozens and left millions without power.

Islamic Council of North America (ICNA)’s local South Florida has deployed teams to clean up damage caused by the deadly storm in the southern state of Florida.

ICNA Relief has also collaborated with 13 mosques in Georgia to serve as temporary shelters for hurricane evacuees.

Local office in Central Florida has also provided local mosques acting as shelters with in-kind donations such as food and hygiene products.

Some mosques opened its doors as shelters and Muslim groups distributed food in the streets.
