The Liverpool star recently featured in a ‘Say No To Drugs’ campaign video. The drugs rehabilitation hotline has witnessed a 400% increase in calls since then.
It has emerged that after appearing in a “Say No to Drugs” campaign, Mohamed Salah’s influence has encouraged Egyptian youth to stay away from all kinds of drugs.
In fact, the drugs rehabilitation hotline witnessed a 400% increase in calls after the campaign was endorsed by the Liverpool forward.
Egypt Today has reported that Social Solidarity Minister, Ghada Waly, revealed that the 16023 hotline number for addiction cure was very active across the past weeks since Salah took part in the campaign.

Waly confirmed that the campaign’s Facebook video has already exceeded 5 million views just 3 days after streaming.
“Some 88 percent of the viewers were between 18-35 years. Facebook, Instagram and Youtube videos’ have been watched for 8 million and 400,000 times, shared for 23,000 times and liked by 359,000 users.” She said.
The video shows Salah running and being active before he stumbles across a young boy having to chose between drugs and spending time with his friends.
After the boy looks at Salah, he makes the right decision and chooses to hang out with his friends in a healthy outdoor lifestyle rather than get lured into the dangerous world of drugs.
Salah has been one of the stand-out players in English football this season, helping put Liverpool on the brink of the Champions League semi-finals.
