Ali Banat

Ali Banat is an Australian Muslim whose diagnosis of cancer motivated him to dedicate his life to charity work.

By the age of 33, Ali had it all: two successful self-developed businesses and a luxurious life to accompany it. Nothing was slowing him down and he had a bright future ahead of him.

Then, in July 2015 brother Ali received news that would never have crossed his mind; he was diagnosed with stage 4 Adenoid Cystic Carcinoma. From this moment. he knew his life would never be the same. Then the bad news kept coming; it had spread throughout his body to his lungs and bones.

At first, this came as a shock to Ali, as it would to anyone in his situation, but he quickly took the news in the most positive way and took it as a “gift” from God, a means to turn his life around in the eyes of his Creator. He came to the realization of what is most important in his life at this point. He denounced his previous life of material wealth and dedicated it to helping others.

Ali created a project called MATW (Muslims Around The World) on October 2015 to assist those less fortunate in the poverty-stricken areas of Togo, Africa.

“At this point in my life, Alhamdulillah I have been gifted by Allah with cancer throughout my body and I have changed my whole life to helping people,” he said.

Ali Banat has started his own Go Fund Me for his charity work.
