Muslim Immigrant Families – Social Counseling

Being a Muslim immigrant family in the west is not an easy experience, especially when kids are involved. Muslim parents, who have their own traditions, perceptions and culture would face many challenges while trying to preserve the identity of their family and integrate with their new society at the same time.

In many cases, the kids would identify more with the Western culture, which will cause a kind of conflict between them and their parents.

In this audio, Karim Serageldin, founder of Noor Human Consulting, breaks down the difference between tradition and traditionalism and shares experiences of Muslim immigrant families on the Mad Mamluks podcast.
